GAGEtrak FAQ

GAGEtrak - The World's leading calibration management software

How do I change the calibration frequency between calibrations?

To save money and time gage frequencies may be extended between calibrations. For instance, 6 months after a gage with a 1 year calibration has been calibrated, management determines that its frequency can be extended to 2 years.

The concern is that advancing the date with out a matching calibration record may create an opportunity for an auditor to issue a finding. Also, the calibration label on the gage will not match the due date.

Possible Resolution:

  1. Locate the gage in Gage Entry.
  2. Go to the Schedule tab and change the frequency.
  3. Return the Iinformation tab and click the Calibration button.
  4. Locate the most recent calibration record and un-pass it.
  5. Re-pass it.
  6. The revised frequency and new due date are now on the calibration record and Gage Entry -> Schedule has be updated to match.
  7. You may now print a label with the revised information for the gage.
